The past couple of weeks have been very busy for Dando’s sales team who recently returned from two exhibitions in the UK- Hillhead and Geotechnica.
Taking place at Hillhead Quarry, a disused limestone quarry in Buxton, Derbyshire, Hillhead is one of the world’s largest exhibitions for the aggregate industry, attracting over 476 exhibitors and 18,655 visitors at this year’s show.
Attending for the first time ever, Dando was showcasing Furukawa’s range of hydraulic crawler drills as well as its own drilling rigs and equipment. On display at Dando’s stand was a FRD HD828 hydraulic drifter which generated much interest. Overall, the show proved a success as Dando was able to make a lot of new contacts via the event as well as gain more of an insight into the aggregate sector.
The following week Dando was down at Brunel University, London exhibiting at Geotechnica 2016. This year’s show took on a different format to previous Geotechnicas, with fewer exhibition stands and being more conference focused. There were still a small number of machines on display , including Dando’s new Terrier MK2 which gained a lot of attention from those attending.
Dando would like to thank all those who came and visited us during the two events. To find out which shows Dando is attending next please visit www.dando.co.uk/exhibitions
The compact, versatile Dando Terrier drilling rig is now available fitted with mast dump, allowing it to drill at angles up to 45 degrees from vertical.
Supplied with Dando’s new track mounted compressor unit, providing 400cfm at 170psi, the first rig will be used for gold exploration in the deep jungles of the Congo using Rotary Air Blast drilling. The Terrier’s ultra-small footprint and easy manoeuvrability makes the rig particularly suited to work in jungle and forest environments, causing very little disturbance to its surroundings.
The track mounted compressor can also be supplied with a standard Terrier rotary drilling rig.
